Useful tips for packaging your stuff in the most efficient manner

Moving to a new location? Probably the most tiring job associated with a house move is packaging the valuables. Packaging is an art that demands for the most efficient use of space and the resources available. The efforts needed for loading and unloading the stuff depend a lot upon the way it is packed. So here are a few important tips that can make your packaging process more efficient –
  • For heavier stuff – The heavier the stuff, the smaller should be the box used for packaging. Generally people put heavy things with a lot of other stuff in a single box to use the unoccupied space. This will make the box even heavier and difficult to lift. It also increases the chances of the box getting tattered halfway.
  • While packing different things in the same box – If you are packing different types of things in a single box, put the heavier ones at the bottom and stack the light weighted items at the top layer. It will keep the items organized as well as safe.
  • Categorize the stuff and label it – You can categorize the stuff to make it easier for you to rearrange it at the new place. Put the things concerning to a particular room in same set of boxes. Label the boxes with a list of their contents so that you don’t have to pour out each item just to find that the things you need are placed in the other box.
  • Make less number of units – Taking care of ten small boxes will need more efforts as compared to taking care of one big box. You can reduce the total number of units by putting the small boxes into large cardboard boxes. It will also reduce the amount of time required to load and unload the luggage.
These small but effective tips can simplify your packaging process a great deal and make it less stressful.
